2024 IDEA & ACSM Health & Fitness Summit

The 2024 IDEA & ACSM Health & Fitness Summit features three lecture tracks that bridge the gap between the science of sports medicine and practical applications for fitness professionals.

The IDEA & ACSM Health & Fitness Summit is the ONE place where health fitness professionals like you can explore the full spectrum of the field. You have the opportunity to gain insights from experts and earn continuing education credits by attending sessions, which integrate the science and practice of sports medicine and exercise science.

The summit is the best place to learn how to put the latest scientific findings into practice. Sessions originate from a science core, and speakers deliver practical sessions that you can put into action immediately.

Mission

The IDEA & ACSM Health & Fitness Summit sessions translate the science of sports medicine, exercise and nutrition for leaders and practitioners in health and fitness through high-quality integrative presentations and state-of-the-art practical classes and demonstrations.

Goal

Provide information that can be used by fitness professionals who work independently or in health clubs, schools, the health care industry, corporations and other community settings. To address its mission the International Health & Fitness Summit offers programming tracks that span the fitness and health care landscape.

Industry-Presented Sessions

As part of its educational programming, ACSM’s International Health & Fitness Summit includes a selection of industry-presented sessions relevant to health and fitness professionals. The Summit Program Committee reviews these sessions in advance using the same rigorous criteria for non-sponsored sessions. If accepted, these sessions are clearly marked as “industry-presented” in all promotional material. This designation gives Summit attendees the context needed to evaluate the material that is presented.

Consistent with ACSM’s long-standing policy, inclusion in Summit programming does not imply ACSM’s endorsement of the presenting sponsor or any industry-presented content. Financial support from these sessions and other sponsors helps keep the International Health & Fitness Summit affordable for attendees and further creates an overall positive Summit experience.
